“Many people have asked why I cancelled several meetings and events recently. The answer is I had a minor stroke.

I feel fine and the only damage seems to be my vision which has been reduced, hopefully a temporary problem.

I will be focusing on a number of rehabilitation measures in the coming weeks and my public availability will be limited.

My staff will be working hard to see that service is not disrupted and Arnold LeBlanc will be meeting with me regularly so that I am fully briefed on all the issues.
